Description

Did you know that the average Thanksgiving dinner contains over 2000 calories?  Thats right, an entire days worth of calories packed into one tasty meal.  Not to mention the midnight raid on the refrigerator for that leftover turkey and cranberry sandwich.

Do I need to say anything more to motivate you for a little post-Thanksgiving exercise?  This hike will be 7 miles in Wawayanda State Park in Northern New Jersey, approximately an hour from the city.  The hike goes through dense forests of hemlock and mountain laurel and climbs over puddingstone rock outcrops to reach beautiful Terrace Pond.  The hike includes strenuous climbs and rocky terrain.

The hike will start promptly at 9AM.  Cost for the hike is $2.  Passengers receiving a ride should reimburse their driver generously, $10-$15 depending on the number of people in the car and point of origin.
