Yes, it is that time of year again -- apple season!  And JOC doesnt want you to miss it!
 
WHO:  Calling all apple lovers... seasoned JOCers and new faces alike
 
WHAT:  Apple picking & picnic, combined with historic nature walk
        After picking bushelsof different varieties of apples, we will picnicand then explore thearea of the orchard, which includes a nature trail,old fashioned farmequipment, and a waterfall.  On the way home, wecan take awalking tour of historic High Falls, visit the flea market,and/orcheck out New Paltz...
 
WHEN:  Sunday, October 14.  We leave NYC @ 8:00 AM and return by 5 or 6 PM.
 
WHERE: Mr. Apples Orchard in High Falls, NY, an area full ofscenic andhistoric beauty.  The orchard is about 1 1/2-2 hoursfrom NYC, alittle way past New Paltz, NY.

WHAT TO BRING:  Picnic lunch,hat, sunscreen, cards, frisbee,camera, comfortable clothing (layers arerecommended this time ofyear... check the forecast), stilts... 
 
 
HOW MUCH:  $14.  Drivers will receive $20 and thanks... more if its a nice car ;)
          Applepicking & hike are free, you pay for the apples you take homeatabout $14/bushel (bushel = ~20-25 lb.)
