I recently found out about a mountain biking park in Westchester called Sprain Ridge Park, really close to the city.
Come get lost with me!
WHEN?
Sunday, Oct 25, 9am-12 noon.
WHERE?
Sprain Ridge Park
Meet in parking lot at the nearby entrance by the comfort station.
WHO?
I'm looking to keep this small - no more than 6. First email, first served. Please be committed if you email.
COST?
FREE!
EQUIPMENT
No rentals are available - you must have your own bike, or borrow. Mountain bike only - I don't know the trails firsthand, but hybrids generally run the risk of getting trashed when taken on true mountain bike trails.
LEVEL OF DIFFICULTY
We'll start out on some beginner trails, and move on to intermediate stuff. Keep in mind though, that this is mountain biking, not dirt road biking. Expect mt bike terrain, with rock gardens, logs, etc... . Some experience preferred, though an adventurous beginner is fair game to try too.

GETTING THERE:
A car is best, but public transportation is possible via metro north to Hastings on Hudson. You'll have to do some homework on how to proceed from there.

Rain cancels. Please don't email me about cancelling due to a rainy forecast. Cancelled events due to bad forecasts have ruined more beautiful Sundays than I care to talk about.
