You need JavaScript enabled to view it Details: All Inclusive overnight Ski Trip to Okemo Mountain in Vermont for a fraction of the cost!! Love the snow? Love nature? Are you a bit of a thrill seeker? Well, then this event is for you! On Saturday night right after Shabbat on Feb 20th, the Jewish Outdoors Club will head out to Okemo, one of the largest ski resorts in Vermont for an all inclusive over night ski trip to the best slopes in Vermont. You will have 119 trails to choose from with 19 lifts. Gear up for this popular JOC trip! This event will fill up fast! Those who have gone before will tell you that if you have a thirst for ADVENTURE, this is one trip you should not miss. With such a huge mountain with varied trails, this trip is recommended for intermediate and advanced skiers and snowboarders but everyone is welcome. Cost: ONLY $163 (or $133 without ski rental) Early Bird Rate: Take advantage of our early bird rate for ONLY $147 (or $117 without ski rental) if you register and pay by January 31st Refund Policy: Cancellations will be granted for a 100% refund until January 31st 75% Reimbursement until February 10th 50% Reimbursement until February 16th. Please note that beyond Tuesday February 16th there will be absolutely no refund. Don’t even ask. Ride Share: We will arrange car pooling details about a week prior to the event. Please add $30 to reimburse your driver (if you need a ride) for gas, toll, and wear & tear… Schedule: Driving Time: Approximately 4 hour drive from the Upper West Side We will all head out Saturday night right after Shabbat (Feb 20th) and drive up most of the way. We will camp out at a bed & breakfast and head out straight to the slopes first thing in the morning. Breakfast and lunch and snacks will be served on the mountains. We will ski throughout the day and join together for another quick snack before heading back home. We should be back in the city Sun evening by around 9:30PM (give or take). We will organize carpooling leaving from the city and its surrounding areas (based on driver availability) Saturday, February 20th right after Shabbat (stay tuned for directions and ride info). What should I bring? Bring Ski/Snowboard waterproof jacket, gloves/mittens, sweaters, long underwear, woolen socks, neck gaiter (if you tend to get cold) and extra layers of warm clothing (try to avoid cotton). You should also bring a camera (optional), money, pajamas, toiletries and stuff. Bring a cooler if you have one and food that will stay fresh overnight for the ride home. You should also bring food for Saturday night if you think you will be hungry. We will provide Breakfast, Lunch, and Snacks on the slopes. Where will we camp overnight? We are staying @ a bed & breakfast about 3 hours from the city and we will continue the drive first thing in the morning straight to the slopes. The rates are based on double occupancy. We will match people based on gender. If you would like to share a room with anyone specific (even your husband or wife) please let us know during the registration process. What does it cost? The outing costs $147 if registered & paid by January 31st and $163 beyond that. The rates include overnight lodging @ the bed & breakfast, lift tickets, ski/snowboard, boots, poles (deduct $30 dollars if you have your own ski/snowboard equipment – you MUST include this when you register), breakfast, lunch, and snacks. This is less than you would pay for this package if you went on your own. If you are a passenger in a car, you will also need to pay $30 to reimburse your driver for gas and tolls and wear & tear of the car.
