Lunch at Litchfield Ledge with a beautiful view of the rock-faces, Lake Awosting, and the trees below, really blew us away, literally. With hypothermia setting in, our faithful sweep, swept us on our merry way, onward to view after view after view after view... Perhaps it was the spirits of the forest within the wind that spooked half the group, causing them to take flight and run for their dear lives. Our diminished party did not get dejected and plodded onward to Lake Minnewaska beach and finally managed to rescue most of the others at Awosting Falls where my walkie talkie took it quite literally and took a fall in the stream. What a woste!
A few of us, lounged and had odd flavored coffee/lattes at The Muddy Cup in New Paltz before admitting our adventure together had finally come to and a close.
For the record, no caps were lost during the hike nor during this recap.
