We will have 2 or 3 meeting locations depending on the starting point of the participants.
Additional details to follow. Please contact me at toolboxjesseATyahooDOTcom for more information.
PLEASE BE ADVISED THAT THIS EVENT IS FOR LICENSED AND EXPERIENCED MOTORCYCLISTS AND THEIR PASSENGERS ONLY.
Suggested donation will be $5 to cover the cost of food and JOC expenses
Here are some FAQs:
Will there be food?
I plan to bring some simple picnic-type stuff (strictly Kosher) for everyone to share. Feel free to bring whatever you like for yourself or to share with the group- I just ask whatever you bring should be Kosher.
Can I bring someone?
If you are comfortable riding with a passenger, and your passenger is comfortable riding on the back of a motorcycle I encourage you to bring him/her.
Can I tell my friends who also ride and are Jewish?
That would be great, but I ask to have your friends contact me and let me know they are coming rather than just show up on their own so I can bring enough food and know to expect them.
What if I don’t have a motorcycle?
Maybe you can rent or borrow if you have a valid motorcycle license. Check out www.eaglerider.com for rentals in your area.
What if I don't have a valid license?
Take the permit test at your local DMV, Take a 3-day ridercourse sponsored my the Motorcycle Safely Foundation www.msf-usa.org, and join us for the next JOC Motorcycle Ride, whenever that happens.
Will it be dangerous?
There is a certain amount of inherent risk in any such activity. I encourage each individual rider to gauge his/her skill level to determine if he/she is prepared for the rigors of such an event. We will be riding as a group and keeping to the posted speed limit (up to 65 mph in some areas), and I hope that this will be enough to keep this event both safe and fun. Of course the JOC and I assume no responsibility for anything that may happen on this or any other JOC event.
Looking Forward and hope to see you there!
