| What: Rails-to-trails mountain biking at its very best! The Lehigh Gorge mountain bike trail is one of the most popular mountain biking trails in the East, covering up to 25 miles of the Poconos' most spectacular wilderness scenery. Enjoy the beauty, serenity and convenience of the trail as it winds its way through the Poconos' Lehigh Gorge State Park alongside the river. Biking the trail is easy, delightfully fun, relaxing ... and features a groomed, 2% down hill grade for the whole 25 miles. Assuming that some of us are beginners and that we will want to stop for lunch, we will allow 4 hours for the entire trip. What is the cost? a recession-friendly $40 How many people can go? We are opening this trip to 25 participants.
What do I need to bring? The bike rental will provide helmets (included in the cost of bike rental). They will be selling bottled water. We ask that everyone make sure they have 2 liters of water--you need to keep well hydrated on a biking trip regardless of how hot it may or may not be.
