Several people have asked me if I am organizing anything for Labor Day.

So…. I have put many hours into doing just that. I have planned a wonderful weekend in beautiful New Hampshire. We have 20 cozy rooms reserved for us in cabins in a picturesque camp in Holderness, NH, where we will stay from Friday afternoon through Saturday night. All food will be glatt kosher (catered) and served by us (JOC participants). On Sunday, weather and other conditions permitting, we will drive to the mountains, where the braver of us will attempt to climb Mount Washington via one of its many hiking trails. The rest of us can drive (or take a van ride) to the summit or enjoy a ride on the historic cog railway. There will be alternate options planned in case the fates are against us hiking up Mount Washington. On Sunday evening, we will return to Holderness where we will have dinner and enjoy a good night’s rest.  We are staying right off Squam Lake, and there are plenty of options for boating for those who are not in a rush to head home on Monday.

The rest is up to you. If 30 people register by Friday, August 21^st, then this weekend can happen! Unfortunately, this event cannot run if fewer than that amount register by the early bird deadline. So sign up and tell your friends.

Cost: Early Bird Discount $395 if you register by Friday, August 21^st

                                            $415 after August 21st   

Price includes 3 nights in comfy cabins and all meals. Any activities will be extra according to cost price of various options TBA.

Refund Policy: JOC cannot be held liable if you have to cancel.  Refunds will only be given if there is someone on the waiting list to take your spot.

Schedule:

We will check in on Friday afternoon. Snacks and drinks will be set up; no meals will be served until the Shabbos seuda on Friday night. Shabbos starts at 7:00 on Sept. 4 in New Hampshire, and it is an approximately 6-hour drive, so plan your departure accordingly. Friday night through Saturday night will be spent on campus at Rockywold-Deephaven. Sunday morning we will head out to Mount Washington or our other exciting alternative. Sunday evening we will head back to our cabins in Holderness, where we will enjoy a nice meal and a good night’s rest. Monday morning you can eat breakfast, pack yourselves a lunch and enjoy the grounds until you have to head home.

Transportation:

As drivers sign up, I will arrange carpools for as many passengers as possible. Passengers will be expected to reimburse their drivers $35 each way for their portion of gas/tolls and wear-and-tear on the car. Greyhound goes to Plymouth, NH which is about 35 minutes away from where we are staying, so public transportation may be an option as well.
