Have you been looking for a nice easy/moderate hike that has two lakes
and a phenomenal view of New York? Well then, this is the hike for
you.
Join us on Sunday, September 25 for an amazing hike through Ramapo
Valley Reservation.

SCHEDULE: Will plan to meet up at around 10:45 AM. We will expect to
complete the hike around by 4:00 pm at the latest with time to
enjoy the scenery and have lunch. (people driving from from the NYC
should give about 1.5 hours for driving time, a little over 1 hour
from the city itself)
REGISTRATION: http://ramapohike2011.eventbrite.com/
PASSENGERS: Please be courteous to drivers since they are volunteering
their services. Don't book a ride with multiple drivers, bring exact
change, and pay your driver appreciation fee BEFORE being asked.
Drivers are relying on their passengers when they make their plans so
don't cancel on them unless you give them a few days of notice.
WHAT TO BRING: Essentials: $15 fee for the driver, $3 for JOC, minimum
2+ liters of water, lunch, snacks, backpack, hiking boots/trail
shoes/high top sneakers, sun hat/baseball cap, sunscreen, bug spray.
Disclaimer: We reserve the right to turn down anybody who arrives
without proper gear, especially, but not limited to, missing backpack,
too little water, or inappropriate footwear. Not appropriate: Open
toed or backed shoes and sandals, flip-flops, Crocks.
COST: $3 JOC Fee, plus $15 driver appreciation fee (passengers please
bring exact change). NO cost to park.
What if it rains? In the event of light to moderate rain, the show
must go on. Heavy rain or thunderstorms will cancel.
If you are a MD, RN, EMT, OMD, ND - please let me know in advance. I
may ask you to carry a group first aid kit.
